Comprehensive healthcare

We offer health insurance coverage with a choice of plans from BCBS of Vermont or MVP. The Firm covers approx. 80% of the premium depending upon chosen plan. The HDHP (high deductible plans) have an option of a Health Savings Account (HSA). Employees who do not open HSAs have the option of a Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
Dental and Vision coverage can be purchased at a group rate.

Save for the future

We offer a generous 401(k) and profit sharing plan. Eligibility starts after 90 days for the automatic 3% employer 401(k) contribution and optional employee deferral. Employee must have completed one year of employment and be an active employee as of the last day of the calendar year for profit sharing contributions.

Four weeks of paid parental leave to focus on, and bond with, your new child. Eligibility starts after one year of employment with the firm.

Real Estate Paralegal

Gravel & Shea PC seeks an experienced paralegal to join our commercial real estate practice in Burlington, VT. The ideal candidate will have at least three to five years of title search and real estate closing experience. Candidates must have the following skills: excellent independent research and analytical skills; willingness to adapt quickly to challenging and stimulating assignments; excellent writing and communication skills; and the ability to meet deadlines. This is a detail oriented position that requires the ability to work with others both inside and outside the firm. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license. Adaptability to technology and advanced experience with Microsoft Office software is also important.

Litigation Associate

We have an opening for a highly motivated mid-level litigation associate with 2-5 years of experience.  The successful candidate must have outstanding academic credentials and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Intellectual curiosity, a commitment to excellent client service, and a self-starting work ethic are a requirement for this position. Judicial clerks are encouraged to apply.

Our litigation department is comprised of accomplished attorneys who have a broad range of experience and have worked at major national law firms and served as Assistant U.S. Attorneys.  A mid-level associate will have the opportunity to participate meaningfully in cases almost immediately – drafting complaints and motions, arguing in court, taking depositions, and leading discussions with clients.
