Community Commitment
“To support and improve our community” has been part of our mission statement and the spirit of Gravel & Shea since its founding. We take this seriously by aiming to make a meaningful difference through financial support, volunteer work, and offering pro bono expertise. Inspired by the good work of dedicated organizations throughout Vermont, Gravel & Shea is proud to share its ongoing philanthropic activity based on the following values:

Vermont Women’s Fund
Our primary sponsorship, a cause we have supported for nearly two decades, continues to be the Vermont Women’s Fund, whose work we’ve supported for 16 years. Creating economic equality for women and girls in Vermont is a cause close to our hearts, and it is increasingly important during times of economic uncertainty.
Vermont Bar Association – Vermont Poverty Law Fellowship
Gravel & Shea provides financial support to the Vermont Poverty Law Fellowship, a program designed to increase legal access for low-income Vermonters.

Burlington City Arts nurtures a dynamic environment through the arts, making quality experiences and opportunities accessible to a broad audience.
Kelly Brush Foundation
The Kelly Brush Foundation (KBF) is dedicated to making active lifestyles a reality for those who have experienced a spinal cord injury. They offer the inspiration to believe and the grants to enable anyone to buy the equipment they need to get out and go.
