Overview
Due to their success as trial counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants, lawyers in the litigation department at Gravel & Shea are often called upon to serve as mediators or arbitrators in matters pending in both state and federal courts. Attorney Hemley is a member of the federal panel of Early Neutral Evaluators and chairs the U.S. District Court Advisory Committee that adopted early neutral evaluation as a mandatory process in Vermont. He has also served on numerous uninsured motorist arbitration panels, often as the neutral, and has served as the sole arbitrator as well. Attorney Byrne has decades of experience in ADR proceedings, representing clients in both mediations and arbitrations.
