Overview
Gravel & Shea attorneys have substantial experience assisting clients with a broad range of environmental law and land use matters. The group regularly represents client applicants in contested permit proceedings, whether in front of the Development Review Board of a town, Act 250 cases in front of the District Commissions, in the Environmental Court, or in appeals to the Vermont Supreme Court. Many of these matters have also been litigated on appeal before the Vermont Environmental Court.
In addition, our attorneys successfully defend clients’ State environmental penalty cases, local zoning enforcement actions, and property condemnation cases.
We have obtained million dollar compensation jury verdicts for our clients in eminent domain actions that are among the largest such awards given in Vermont.
