At Gravel & Shea, we pride ourselves on being able to handle all areas of family law involving both contested and uncontested matters in both divorce and parentage matters. Amanda Hemley and experienced paralegals at the firm believe that it is important to work collaboratively with clients and opposing counsel in an effort to resolve matters, where possible, outside of the courtroom. However, doing so is not always possible. Amanda is an experienced litigator who previously worked as a State’s Attorney in Miami Dade County and tried over twenty jury trials. Amanda returned to Vermont in 2012 and has been practicing family law ever since.
The family law practice involves matters such as child custody, parent-child contact, parental rights and responsibilities, alimony/spousal support, division of property, and child support. Amanda has represented dozens of clients in Relief from Abuse matters, which are frequently an aspect of family law. In addition to handling matters that arise during a divorce and/or parentage proceeding, Amanda prepares prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements to fit individual client’s needs.
